About Us
ECS Safety Services Limited has been providing Occupational Health and Substance Abuse services since 1995. ECS was founded in Brooks, Alberta, Canada as a partnership between Ed Secondiak and Carol Secondiak. From those humble beginnings ECS Safety Services has grown and now employs nearly fifty people.
With seven of our own office locations and hundreds of testing facilities throughout Canada, ECS Safety Services is able to accommodate your testing needs and be your provider of choice.
President
Ed Secondiak is our President. Ed is well known and regarded as an expert in substance abuse and workplace policy development. Ed spent 24 years with the R.C.M.P where he gained valuable experience in the field of substance abuse detection and prevention. Ed is very active in communities throughout Alberta and as such has been awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal. Ed is also a serving member of the Brooks and District Drug Task Force; a committee made up of community members dealing with substance abuse.
Director of Nursing
Carol Secondiak is our Director of Nursing. Carol is a registered nurse who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990. Carol has been instrumental in developing and implementing policies and procedures for ECS Safety to ensure that ECS remains a leader in Occupational Health Services. Carol, also a recipient of the Alberta Centennial Medal, is active in the community having been appointed in 2006 to the Premier's Task Force on Crystal Meth, and has been involved with the Palliser Health Authority since 1998.
ECS is recognized by the College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) as an independant nursing practice.
